More info

Entirely processed in our Mini Mill,

The alliance of angora and baby alpaca gives a luxurious yarn perfect for carrying out cozy projects. This yarn of extraordinary softness and touch, will allow you to realize works of exception; A single point will suffice to sublimate this yarn.

The fiber of the rabbit will "exteriorize" during knitting and will give you the "hairy" aspect of an angora yarn.

Fiber : 70% French Angora from Claire SEVAULT in Romorantin (Center-Val de Loire) and 30% baby alpaca from the Elevage du Fontenelle

Claire has rabbits for her pleasure and the animal welfare is totally respected; Every 100 days, the natural moult of the animal is helped by a plant, the lagodendron (Mimosa of Africa) which has a depilatory effect; The fiber is harvested by hand very easily and without pain for him. Helping the rabbit eliminate his fiber is essential for him! Otherwise he removes them himself, swallows them, which encumbers the stomach and ends up making him die ...

Weight : skein of +/- 50 grams

Length : +/- 203 m

Needles Size :  2.5 to 3 mm but do not hesitate to knit with bigger needles to have an even more sparkling and aerial rendering

Color : Coque d'Amande

Care : To preserve your work, we recommend handwashing with a suitable soap.

If you are afraid that a color will bleed, you can use a decolorizing wipe (DecolorStop style) rather than vinegar that will have no effect.

To wring it, we advise you to roll it in a towel terry and do not especially twist it. You can also use a salad spinner.

Air dry laying flat.

All stages of processing are carried out in our workshop to guarantee total traceability.

We select French breeders, which allows us to have a low carbon impact and especially to have a 100% French thread.

We do not use the carbonization process to destroy the vegetable matters, we skirt the fleeces by hand.

The washing is done with a soap labeled OEKO TEX and we do not do superwash treatment (see article) Nor softener bath to restore swelling to the thread.

Our dyes of the brand Greener Shades TM (OTA label "Organic Trade Association" in the United States) are one of the few to meet the Oeko-Tex Standard 100 certification.
